Ramadan is one of the most blessed and blessed months of the year. In that blessed month, Allah revealed the Quran, from the beginning of the month of Ramadan all the gates of heaven are opened and all the gates of hell are closed and the devils are imprisoned.
The reward for every good deed is increased ten to seven hundred times. There is a blessed hadith in this regard which has been narrated by Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that:
Meeting in Ramadan, Gabriel met the Holy Prophet every night of Ramadan until Ramadan passed.
The Holy Prophet used to take Gabriel away from the Quran. (Sahih Bukhari 1902) In the last ten days of Fasting, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say more about arranging worship.
When the last ten days of Ramadan came, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would prepare themselves completely and on those nights he would wake up himself and his family. (Sahih Bukhari 2024) The second hadith states in Mubarakah:
“The Messenger of Allah used to spend the last 10 days of Ramadan in the mosque ( itikaf ).”
What is Itkaf?
Stay in the mosque day and night and do not go out unless there is an emergency.
(Sahih Muslim 2783) In another hadith he states:
“The last ten days of Ramadan. I would have tried so hard in worship that I would not have done it on other days. ”
(Sahih Muslim 2788) Similarly, in another hadith, he said: (Sahih Bukhari 2020)
The above hadiths show that in the month of Fasting, the importance and virtue of the last ten days increases. He used to wake up his family members, arrange itikaf in the last ten days and try to worship more than the rest of Ramadan in the last ten days. Yes, we pray to Allah Almighty to grant us the ability to perform more acts of worship during these last ten days of Fasting Amen!
